QUALIFICATIONS

 

In order to be considered for Trooper Trainee, applicants must;

​

• Be a minimum of 21 years of age. There is no maximum age limit.​

​​

• Must be a United States citizens prior to appointment.

​

• Be in general good health, drug-free and have sufficient strength, stamina and agility as required by duties of the position.

​​

• Possess a high school diploma or GED by the completion of training.

​​

• Be free from felony and Class A or B misdemeanor convictions.

​​

• Have a good educational and work record and excellent moral character.

​​

• Have normal hearing, normal color vision and depth perception, and binocular vision. Distance and near vision (with lenses) must be 20/30 in each eye.

​​

• Obtain a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator's License and establish residency in Connecticut before graduating from the Academy.

​​
