QUALIFICATIONS
In order to be considered for Trooper Trainee, applicants must;
-
Be a minimum of 21 years of age. There is no maximum age limit.
-
Must be a United States citizen prior to appointment.
-
Be in general good health, drug-free and have sufficient strength, stamina and agility as required by duties of the position.
-
Possess a high school diploma or GED by the completion of training.
-
Be free from Felony and Class A or B misdemeanor convictions.
-
Have a good educational and work record and excellent moral character.
-
Have normal hearing, normal color vision and depth perception, and binocular vision. Distance and near vision (with lenses) must be 20/30 in each eye.
-
Obtain a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator's License and establish residency in Connecticut before graduating from the Academy.
